Amanullah of Afghanistan.

Idealized illustration of the king. In this case it refers to Emir (later king) Amanullah of Afghanistan, who reigned from 1919 ro 1929, when he was exiled by a revolution, guilty of attempting to implement a drastic modernization of his country. The revolution was inspired by the Great Britain in the name of religion. The caption reads "Ghazi Amanullah Khan", in which "Ghazi" means "hero, a combatant in the holy war". He earned this title by fighting the English at the beginning of his reign, obtaining independence for his country that had been a British protectorate.
