SAVOIA

The ligurians never loved the Savoia, who always represented a danger to their republic. In history the Savoia were almost always their enemies. After the Congress of Vienna in 1815, Genoa and Liguria became part of the Kingdom of Sardinia. They harbored much ill feeling above all because the Piemonte were poor farmers and didn't know anything about sailing and international commerce.
