I remember another Pakistani print that clearly betrays its origins: the figures are evidently Indian and the lake, with its water lilies, is reminiscent of Kashmir. The mosque in the backòground, however, is a beautiful piece of Persian art. The panel at top right manages to concentrate a great deal of Islamic tradition into a small space, as if it were a postage stam: the names of Allah and Mohammed within two red circles, and two stylized representations of the KKaaba at Mecca and the mosque of Medina.
