After Egypt, political Islam faces its great issue.

Saudi Arabia, built on an alliance of absolute monarchy and Wahhabi Islamic absolutism, greeted the military coup in Egypt. But if mainstream Islamism is found wanting in the 21th century, Arabs don't believe Wahhabism is the face of their future. Saudis and their Gulg allies want to drive the Brothers back into the catacombs and radicalise the way the Islamists view democracy as a western idea to keep them from power. The message Saudis want to send also to Turkey is what the Morsi's former foreign policy adviser said "Democracy is not for Muslims".
