A psychocultural view of Chinese diplomacy. The Chinese diplomacy reflects the national self-image of Chinese statesmen. A serious study about historical Chinese view of diplomacy demonstrates how Confucianism, Taoism, Marxism and other cultural elements are the sources of national self-image and how traditional Peking diplomacy is a drama mainly serving to demostrate Chinese leaders determination to fulfil their national role. Chinese cultural psychology sets the "tempo" of Chinese diplomacy, and its maintained that the spirit of Chinese foreign policy lies in the pretension that the world can be right.
