ALBENGA

Albenga, an ancient city of the Ingauni Ligurians, has many important vestiges of different historic periods. There we find a strech of the ancient Roman road Aurelia with burial sites which remind you of the Appian Way in Rome. The romanic, byzantine, and medieval elements are very interesting. Inside the Bapstistery is the only byzantine mosaic in Liguria.
