CHINA AND AFRICA

The Chinese encounter with Africa goes back to the beginning of the fifteenth century, when Admiral Zheng He landed on the East African coast. By the time the Chinese Communism came to power, Africa was parcelled out among European powers. Now China is a superpower in Africa.
